here's what you'll need...
- Plain wood clip board
- Chalk paint
- Tin Sheet - they sell the 5 x 7 size, ready cut, at Home Depot
- Scrapbook paper
here's what you'll do with it all...
- Paint the clipboard with about 3 coats of chalk paint
- Cover a portion of the clipboard with scrapbook paper if you'd like
- Cover your tin with scrapbook paper, or leave it raw if you prefer - please be careful as the edges of the tin can be really sharp.
- Stick tin sheet to your board with liquid glue - most any brand will do - cover the back well and use a weighted object to help flatten and secure the tin.
Alternatives:
leave off the tin sheet and just have a full chalkboard.
paint with regular paint, or cover with scrapbook paper and add a larger sheet of tin so you have a full sized magnet board.
decorate with just paint and paper and use as a regukar clipboard, only fancier - or...hang on the wall and use to clip messages, bills, reminders, etc.
